What music can you work to?
We are really flexible when it comes to music. We have a large collection of favorite tracks to choose from for choreographed shows. Alternatively we're very happy to work to your choice at no extra cost. Our specially created choreographic repertoire allows us to work to almost any track without having to have advance rehearsals. This means we can turn up on the day, put a unique show together set to whatever music you like, and it will still be polished and beautifully composed.
Do you need advance rehearsals?
Not unless you want us to have one. Our shows are usually put together on-site on the day using our choreographic repertoire. This allows us to fit the piece to the space, the client’s music choice, number of artists and costume/prop selection, whilst keeping costs down for the client.
How long do you need to rehearse on site?
We like 30-90 minutes on site to rehearse each 5 minutes on stage. This can be in the performance space, a large dressing room or any corner of the venue that’s available. Essentially it just needs to be roughly the same size as the performance space, somewhere we won’t be in the way where we can play our music on a portable speaker and not be disturbed. If this isn’t feasible let us know; there are ways around it.
What size stage do you need?
Around 1.5-2 metres square per artist is a good rule of thumb however we regularly perform in smaller or interesting shaped spaces, on stair cases, in shop windows, on catwalks and in swimming pools…
What floor surfaces can you work on?
We can cope with a wide range of floor surfaces (gravel, grass, carpet etc) but may need to change footwear or adapt choreography to suit. Pointe shoes do demand a flat surface, however we have found a way to perform ballet en pointe on (dry) concrete so can work outside. Stilt walkers can walk on all kinds of surfaces including lumpy grass, cobble stones and gravel as long as the surfaces are not slippery.
Can we hire your costumes or props or have you make some for us?
Sorry, we don’t hire out or sell items from our wardrobe.
How many artists do you have?
We have a large core company of around 25 multi-skilled artists who we work with intensively, around another 50 who regularly join the core, and several hundred more on our artist database. We actively scout new talent so the company is always developing and growing.
Where are you based?
Our artists are based all over the place, but to keep things simple we quote as if artists are coming from London. We are also cultivating a UK and worldwide team to reduce travel emissions, an added benefit of this will be lower fees for our clients. Watch this space.
Do you send other crew members on jobs?
No, artists only unless we have agreed otherwise. Our artists are used to managing themselves; dealing with choreography, hair and make-up and liaising with sound/lighting crew as required.
Do you provide PAs, lights and staging?
We don’t, sorry.
Can you work in wet, very windy or extremely hot/cold weather?
Anything is possible, as long as it’s safe. It might be that your first choice of skill/costume won’t work in these conditions, in which case we can discuss taking a back up option.
Can you quote for flights/hotels/local transfers outside the UK?
Sorry, we can’t. We ask clients to arrange these. Alternatively you can select the flights/hotels and arrange local transfers and then transfer the cost and an admin fee to us, we can then purchase them.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, for group bookings (if artists x days is more than 7), charities and good causes, showcase events for agents we work with regularly and sometimes other types of bookings if we can come away with good quality shots and footage. Occasionally a ticket/guest pass to the event can also be considered part payment.
Are you an agency?
No. Apart from rare occasions where we ask trusted artists to perform their own work, all of our work is created by us. We do however have an extensive artist network so can source all sorts of skills and put together all kinds of performances.
